Waterside Pavilion Interior Design
9 July 2020
Lily Vaughan is a talented interior designer who works at Sencia’s head office in Melbourne. Lily was integral in designing and styling the interiors for The Breeze’s Waterside Pavilion which opened to residents this year.
Lily is passionate about interior design having worked for a major domestic furniture developer and for the last three years on Arcare properties. Lily has a double degree in business and interior design from Swinburne University and she was part of the team that took out the Good Design Awards 2019 for Arcare Templestowe.
We asked Lily to talk about her ideas for the Waterside Pavilion and her comments are below.
“Given The Breeze’s location in Point Lonsdale, I was asked to work within the parameters of a coastal theme.
I used natural materials such as travertine, sandstone, and oak to compliment the surrounding landscape. I also used a palette of ocean blues and sandy hues to evoke a tranquil coastal resort-like feel while also being very comfortable.”
“The moment you walk into the Waterside Pavilion foyer you are welcomed with natural light and a clean aesthetic. When you make your way into the lounge the soft tones of the room evoke the breeziness of the beach. All the amenities, such as the indoor heated pool, 50-seat tiered theatre, and private dining have also been carefully designed to ensure a gorgeous flow from room to room.”
“I am sure you will be very impressed by the stunning construction work and the beautiful interiors of the Waterside Pavilion. It is an amazing place for the retirement community of The Breeze to socialise, relax, and stay entertained with a variety of activities.”
