The Breeze retirement community is the ideal place to pursue a fulfilling retirement with state-of-the-art amenities, stunning architecturally designed homes, and the perfect location in the seaside town of Point Lonsdale on the Bellarine Peninsula.

At The Breeze there are plenty of activities to participate in and many groups to join. One of the most popular groups is the very active Cycling Group who enjoy keeping fit with multiple bike rides a week. Led by residents Joy Clark and Lindsay Womersley, the group often ride to Queenscliff or for a more challenging ride they like to go along the Bellarine Rail Trail.

“I really enjoy the active lifestyle at The Breeze”, Joy says. “The Cycling Group has been a great way for me to improve my fitness as well as form new friendships”.

“We are a close-knit group and are always welcoming new members to join. We cater for all different fitness levels and consider the abilities of each member of the group before each ride”, Joy says. “Many of us also have electric bikes which help make the longer rides far less strenuous”.

Joy loves a challenge, so her favourite ride is the Bellarine Rail Trail where the group rides all the way to Drysdale. However, Joy says the best part of each ride is when the group stops for a coffee at a local cafe to socialise. “There is a great sense of fun and community within the group and I love catching up with other residents and meeting new ones too”.
